I kind of lied about the few weeks part on our Illidan kill. Wasn't my fault Sunwell took forever. But raiding is raiding. You lose people. You rebuild. You find a way to get it done again through it all.
The week has been an interesting one. Got our first kill in Sunwell. Got our first Warglaive of Azzinoth. Not such a bad week I'd say.

Nice loot for Skorion (Thunderheart Wristguards), Archelous (Onslaught Bracers) Aveluuna (Skyshatter Bracers), and Evalena (Breeches of Natural Splendor.)

We did it. We overcame whatever there was to overcome and did it. The raiding scene can be difficult but what's even more difficult is keeping every raider fresh, active, and happy to raid. We had to bring in some great people along with our already great core of guys and girls. Everyone meshed fast and it led to this. I'm certainly proud to be the leader of this guild and I'm sure every one of our members are proud to be apart of Legacy of Honor.

Thanks to all the supporters, our Hearts of Darkness loaner (We'll pay you back soon Remnant), and to all of those that believed.

Loots were: Delexi on Shroud of (Sing for it) Absolution, Darksidex on Lightbringer Chestpiece, Vayle on Shard of Usually Disenchantment, and Darthmal on Memento of Tyrande.

That's the last update from me for a while. Although I hope it's not too long. :)

Illidan needs new Arena Partners

The Illidari Council has been defeated. We're now one boss away from clearing all end-game content. These last few weeks have been some of the highest progression weeks in this guild's history. And quite frankly some of the best weeks in general in this guild's history. And I'm sure it isn't stopping here.

No way in hell.

Congratulations to Aelgar and Teras on Gronnstalker's Leggings and Gerethan on Madness of the Betrayer. (Retribution Paladins DO exist in raids. And they are good.)

Pain Without Love

Ho ho. When Reliquary of Souls was downed the scramble for Shadow Resist began. The guild bank was literally raped as we were providing hundreds of mats to these idiots that I call guildmates. <3

Then a likely ally appeared right in the nick of time to provide something this guild has really needed since the start of all this content. A very special thank you goes to Remnant. They provided more than enough hearts of darkness for us to reach the ideal shadow resist for this encounter. This kill might not have been possible without their generosity. You will be paid back in the form of French Sex (pst Demz or Liljon for details.) I'm just kidding. You'll get your hearts back very soon. :) Anyways this was just another gimmick fight. We prayed that the ones with the bad computers did not get fatal attraction. PRAYED I TELL YOU.

Congrats to the Frenchsurrender on Onslaught Shoulderguards and Geretard on Lightbringer Shoulderbraces. Also got a libram that wasn't worth the link. :(

In only a short matter of time, Gurdawg Bloodboil (Thanks Gee) became another victim. We even had more than ten cloth wearers in the raid. It's doable! It just SUCKS. In typical LoH fashion, we come back with a swagger and decide to re-accomplish our best kills while adding some new trophies to our collection.

But don't take my word for it.

Grats nobody on that piece of shit dagger that isn't even worth the Wowhead link and Patchwagon on Garments of Temperance.

Look who called it! Read the post below. I think I speak for many people when I say this but the actual gimmick for this fight is the fact that the doomfire animation persists for no reason! It was quite amusing watching members trying to /emo into to the fire but to no avail. There goes the finger of death. :D

Took me forever to update this again. I apologize to all of the fans! I'm not sure how many more bosses will have the rain of fire mechanic but I'd say to keep pouring it on. No pun intended. It won't stop us from taking him out week after week. At least we hope it doesn't.

Despite keying some new guys as well as playing catch up we've gained some good ground in a night by taking out these two pushovers. I would've thought the trash would be scaled back by now but Blizz never fails to amuse me! All in all there were plenty of gems, epix and even a Lola's Eve! Nothing like kiting a helpless creature and restoring Akama to his original self. Yesssss! I expect this is the beginning of many front page updates to add to this schedule of mine. We'll keep in touch.

It's pretty satisfying to watch people die as the encounter looms on. Hey, no one says I can't enjoy the demise of my guildmates. Even I got killed by a series of unfortunate events. I think it's comical. :D

But the trash was harder than this guy. The whole scripted event was very fun and now there's only two more to go.

The first night of Hyjal turned out to be successful. It's a great change of scenery and I know the rest of this guild can attest to that. I heard this boss was a loot vendor but come on. The trash was enjoyable for the first time but we all know how that turns out later on. And as Liljon would say:

"Protect GINA Proudmoore!"

I love our French-Canadian players. It's hours of endless entertainment. :)

Anyways:

Congrats to Gaybash on Tracker's Blade and Celannia on Rejuvenating Bracers (Could they think of a more creative name? loldr00dz.)

Also congrats to those that are attuned for the god damn hole in the wall. We have much more work to do before some killshots in BT.

Times have changed in the last few months.

These times have not been so kind to us. Lots of people have come and gone.

But despite all the attrition and adversity we have conquered what at one point seemed out of reach time and time again. Everything had been put together just at the right moment and just in time.

I personally felt my ears were about to explode from all the excitement and yelling but they've endured something quite like this before.

And I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of these players in this guild for never giving up and sticking with us through thick and through thin.

High Astromancer Solarian was a fun fight and hopefully will become even more fun after the next patch. Granted it's another one of those god damn resist fights that everyone dreaded pre-BC, it still wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. But, there's more news and drama that unfolded after this kill. Most of it is quite laughable yet at the same time borderline retarded.

Grats Ippy on Heartrazor and Lyfe on Trousers of the Astromancer.

Meanwhile, since the all-knowing Gandollf's opinion is so valued on this beloved server of ours, he added quite the words of wisdom after the kill.

I whole-heartedly agree with this moron for once. "There" GM isn't very good at all. What a douchebag. That will be the only time you hear those words recited when it involves Gandollf in a sentence of mine.

But the hilarity didn't end there. Apparently our French Raid leader got banned for 72 hours.

After long nights filled with learning, repair bills, flasks and consumables, this bitch finally put out and was laid to rest shortly after. That may sound awful but to be honest she deserved every ounce of pain and pleasure.

Yes, I'm talking about the one and only Void Reaver. The one that hides behind the trash that is quite harder than the boss itself. But that's ok. We didn't really mind so we decided to engage him and take him out pretty damn quick.

Obligated goes on vacation.

I'm not good at making jokes or witty comments but without him we somehow managed to get in 2 more nights of raiding and on the 2nd night 2 bosses decided they'd give us some gear. I'm seeing a number trend here.

The ugliest fish ever seen died in a server first giving 2 server first items.
Gratz Crazyness on Bracers of Eradication and Lnori on the Libram of Absolute Truth.

Less than 2 hours later we were rewarded with the first 2 Tier 5 items on the server as the Funny-Looking Kid dropped without aplomb.

Gratz to Aelgar on Rift Stalker Leggings, Ralina on Destroyer Legguards, and Geenome on the Sextant of Unstable Currents.

Stay tuned - 2 bosses left.

He just wasn't the only thing that was clearly unstable.

^ was the story of our night.

Also a night full of blue screens, add-on malfunctions, overheating computers and crashes galore sums up our night. But he fell with the, you guessed it, infamous last attempt of the night. For those of you that do not know of this, LoH has been known for good learning/kills of bosses with our "last attempts." I'm not sure if it's psychological or that it's a curse that will never be lifted. But a kill is a kill and we will sure as hell take it.

Grats Roughbuddha on Scarab of Displacement and Airmid on Wraps of Purification.

Magtheridowned

Downed, owned, whichever way you wish to interpret the title is your own choosing but the end result was the same. Magtheridon was crushed in the short time we took to learn the fight and execute it. The fight seems to be all about phase 1 and once that was perfected then it was smooth sailing from there. This was just a true test of our determination and peseverence through it all.

It's quite the DPS race during phase 1. That's for sure.

The top horde guild on the server, Remnant, also decided to try their luck with this boss and downed him at the same time.

We didn't get to spend too much time on Gruul 1.0. Once we heard about how he had gotten the nerf we were eager to see how this new Gruul would fare against us.

3% first attempt. Third attempt: Dead.

Everyone was so excited when he died though. Just take a look at the facial expressions and the body language.

I'm sure that 90% of the raid thought "LOL I KILL JOO WIT SHATTER!!11oneeleven"

Too bad he was already dead. Sorry to disappoint guys. :)

I don't know what Blizzard was thinking with the changes to Nightbane. Not like they were game-breaking changes but was there a need for a change in the first place? Regardless, it didn't really phase us that much.
